LG Unveils World’s First Thunderbolt 5...

LG Electronics has introduced the UltraFine 40WT95UF, the world’s first 5K2K (5,120 x 2,160) monitor with Thunderbolt 5 support. Designed for high-demand sectors like finance, IT, and content creation, the 40-inch UltraFine display is engineered to maximize productivity with its ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio, powerful connectivity options, and performance-driven features. With the UltraFine 40WT95UF, LG addresses a common pain point among professionals—limited screen real estate and fragmented multitasking. The monitor’s expansive 40-inch panel delivers stunning visual clarity with LG’s IPS Black technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium, making it ideal for data-heavy environments, real-time analytics, and high-precision visual work such as coding, graphic design, and media editing.

The UltraFine 40WT95UF also integrates Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) modes, giving users the multitasking benefits of a dual-monitor setup without the desk space footprint. Financial professionals can monitor charts, dashboards, and live data streams simultaneously, while IT specialists and developers benefit from enhanced workflow visibility and screen organization.

One of the key highlights is Thunderbolt 5 support, offering blazing-fast data transfer speeds of up to 80Gbps, laptop charging, and high-performance peripheral connectivity via a single cable. The monitor doubles as a connectivity hub with a robust selection of ports, including USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, DisplayPort 2.1, and RJ45 Ethernet, and supports daisy-chaining for cleaner, cable-free setups. Now available globally for enterprise customers, the LG UltraFine 40WT95UF reaffirms LG’s commitment to delivering future-ready display solutions tailored to the evolving needs of modern professionals.
